Terence Yau
Vice President, Polycarbonate Business Unit, China mainland & Hong Kong, Covestro

With more than 25 years of experience with Covestro (previously Bayer MaterialScience), the Polycarbonate Business Unit in particular, Yau has worked across the company’s various units including, Coatings and Raw Materials, Building Industry, Water Bottle and Extrusion, Automotive, and Optical Data Storage. 

Prior to leading Commercial Operations in China and Hong Kong, Terence climbed the ladder at Bayer MaterialScience, consecutively undertaking various positions, including most recently Head of Regional Sales Operations for APAC, Pricing Manager for APAC, Market Segment Manager for Optical Data Storage for APAC, Market Segment Manager for Automotive for APAC, Assistant Regional Product Manager for APAC. He started his Bayer MaterialScience career with roles in sales, market research, and product management. 

Yau received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Hong Kong and his MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He speaks English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese.
