Country Manager – China, Global CCS Institute

Dr. Ma Xiangshan, Country Manager-China, Clients Engagement Team of Global CCS Institute (GCCSI). He got Post-PHD of Energy System Analysis in Institute of Energy-Environment-Economy, Tsinghua University in 2012. Before his entering into GCCSI, he was deeply involved in China carbon market mechanism issues and the negotiations in the United Nations Climate Change Conference as well as AWG‐LCA and SBSTA meetings with regards to sector approach items. Now he is mainly responsible for achieving the GCCSI’s ambitious growth strategy by developing profitable business opportunities with new and existing Members and clients to accelerate the deployment of CCS in China. He has engaged in a few important projects and meetings on behalf of GCCSI such as Shenhua Group Jinjie Coal-fired Power Plant Post-Combustion Capture and Storage Demonstration Project Verification Meeting, Shaan’xi Province CCS Demonstration Project Construction Symposium held by Shaan’xi Provincial DRC, China-Canada Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Symposium, 8th China-Australia Bilateral Dialogue on Resources and Energy Cooperation and Yanchang Petroleum-GCCSI Project Symposium.
