Ms. Holly Lei Holly is the Senior Vice President of the Polycarbonates (PCS) business within Covestro and has nearly 20 years of experience in the automotive and engineering plastics industries working across regions and functions.
With a technical background in chemical engineering and material science, Holly started her career at Covestro (previously Bayer MaterialScience) in 1999 in Hong Kong, and has since held a number of senior management positions thanks to a strong track record of successful business development and strategic leadership. Most notably, Holly has led the sales and marketing activities in China and Hong Kong across a wide range of industries, including automotive, transportation, electrical/electronics, appliance, consumer products and medical. In her current role as Head of Commercial Operations APAC, Holly has led the team to build and defend Covestro’s leadership position in the polycarbonate market against very competitive market dynamics.
Holly is an affectionate people leader and excels at fostering an environment that allows people to flourish and develop to their fullest potential. Having worked across cultures in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, Holly is also an avid ambassador of diversity and inclusion, serving as the PCS Representative of Covestro Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council.
Holly received her bachelor’s degree in Polymer Material & Engineering from Dalian University of Technology and her master’s degree in Polymer Material from Sherbrook University, Canada. She also received a management training certificate from INSEAD Business School in France. Mr. Al-Harethi is a Chemical Engineer and holds a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
