William Chen is Executive Director at IHS Markit Base Chemical Insight. He has 15 years working experience including 7 years relevant industry experience and over 8 years consulting experience at IHS Markit by 2020. William leads Asia Olefin team to cover market research and consulting services for light olefins and propylene derivatives (Oxos/ACN/AA), C4 olefins and rubbers. William is also responsible for promoting new business for olefin services in the region. He was also involved in many petrochemical studies, including Coal to Chemicals, PDH study, Light Feedslates crackers. 

Prior to IHS Markit, William worked for ChemChina where he worked as chemical engineer, R&D manager, assistant to CEO and sales manager. William earned Ph.D from Chinese Academy of Sciences and majored in Polymer Chemistry and Physics. William is based in Beijing China.
