The sustainability solutions for Engineering Plastics at Covestro include the development of more circular, higher sustainable share products with lower footprint, through the use of alternative raw materials to gradually replace fossil resources. These include polycarbonate based products with different PCR ratios, and polycarbonates with mass balanced bio-circular raw materials. In addition, Covestro actively engages with value chain partners in close loop collaborations, and provides joint solutions such as circular design services. 
As the global head of Sustainability Solutions for Engineering Plastics, Roy Cheung leads the sustainability strategy and implementation, focusing on the exploration and execution of these solutions and business models, helping the value chain develops into a more circular and climate neutral one. He is a co-author of a circular design guidebook for the electronics industry, and he is also involved in a number of cross-industry close loop projects globally.
