Lily Wang

Lily Wang has served as Head of Business Entity Engineering Plastics since July 2021, bringing to life its strategic focus of steering value creation and sustainability through differentiation, leading material solutions and customer-centric mindset towards a fully circular economy. 
Born in 1976 in Yinchuan, a mid-sized city in Northwest China, she studied Tax and Accounting at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. She received a TGM certificate from INSEAD Business School in France. 
In 2002, Wang launched her professional career with the Bayer Group in China. She has since then assumed responsibilities in Sales and Procurement in business units Polyurethanes and Polycarbonates in China, Germany and the United States. From 2019 to 2021, Wang was global head of the Electrical, Electronics & Appliances (EE&A) segment in business unit Polycarbonates, based in Pittsburgh, the United States. 
Wang is a strong believer and supporter of female leadership, diversity and inclusion, and is constantly pushing boundaries. In her words, “What got you here won’t get you there”.
