Mr. Chen Bi joined CNOOC in February 1982 and took a number of positions including Deputy Manager of Drilling Engineering Department of CNOOC Nanhai West Corp., Deputy Manager of Nanhai West Drilling & Production Company, Division Chief and Deputy Manager of Development and Production Department of CNOOC, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Development and Production Department of CNOOC Ltd., General Manager and Party Committee Secretary of Tianjin Branch of CNOOC Ltd., Vice President and Executive Vice President of CNOOC Ltd. and the Chief Safety Officer of CNOOC. From July 2016 to November 2017, Mr. Chen served as Vice President, Party Leadership Group Member and Chief Safety Officer of CNOOC. From August 2016 to March 2018, he served as Chairman of CNOOC Oil & Petrochemical Co. and Chairman of China BlueChemical Limited. Since November 2017, he has served as Vice President and Party Leadership Group Member of CNOOC.
