Chen Lin

Chemicals China & Ventures

As Shell Group VP Chemicals, China & Ventures, Lin Chen is responsible for managing Shell Chemicals business and further growth in China, including governing joint ventures for Shell Chemicals principally in China and Singapore. 

Lin joined RDS in 1997 as a Graduate and has since worked in China, UK, USA and Canada throughout Downstream, Integrated Gas and Project & Technology. She has developed rich experiences in strategy and planning, finance management, business development, as well as joint venture and strategic partnership, including CFO of the $20bln LNG Canada Project, a joint venture project between a number of oil & gas majors, and in recent years Vice President in Shell China, responsible for Shell Downstream and New Energies’ strategy development in China, new business development, acquisitions and divestments. 

Lin graduated from Peking University. She also holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth 
School of Business.
